- My journal returned my image for size or resolution. What should I check?
- Compare actual pixel dimensions, DPI metadata, file format, and intended printed size with current author guidelines. This checker reads file properties and compares available size presets; it does not assess scientific accuracy or AI-image permission. Without a preset, compare the displayed properties with official requirements.
- Why is my image still blurry at 300 DPI?
- Changing DPI metadata does not add pixels or sharpen an image. A 4-inch-wide image at 300 DPI needs 1,200 pixels across. Check the source and intended printed size; export from a higher-resolution source when available. Passing file checks does not guarantee visual clarity.
